With the robins and the daffodills back, we experience the promise of Spring and the hope for our future! I enjoy watching the children run and laugh on our playground and see through their eyes the wonder of nature. As we are watching our perennial garden come back to life, we notice changes from the winter. Some things are the same, but other things are changing!
The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. We like to spread this out to encompass the entire month with everyone’s busy schedules. Please share this calendar with your families in the hopes that all will pause to enjoy their children and each other.
Watch for changes at the national level as NAEYC is restructuring the Affiliate/Chapter model. We have been sending your leadership to meetings at the state level as we learn about the changes that are coming!
